Faith & the Muse - The Burning Season -- Metropolis Records

Little known to most, I'm quite a fan of Faith and Muse. I first discovered them years ago, in my "goth" days, when I attended Convergence 4 in Toronto. Their performance blew me away, along with Rhea's Obsession. It's been a while since I've picked up any of their CDs to listen to, but I was anxious to hear what new material they had come out with.Unfortunately, I don't like their new sound. While I can respect what they have done, I just don't enjoy it as much as their earlier style. It seems I was more keen on the gothiness of their previous releases, something that is not as present here. They combine a bit of rock, punk and goth together to create a varied album, that is good, just not my cup of tea.

If you are fan of Faith and the Muse, pick it up, you might like their new sound. If you have never liked them before, try out their CD now, you might like their new sound.
