I:gor - Barwy Kolorow -- M-Tronic Records

What an album! M-Tronic's latest release of Polish artist I:Gor is excellent. I:Gor has been making music since 1994, so although I've never heard of him, that is just my ignorance to this genre of music, that is still somewhat new to me."Barwy Kolorow" keeps you on your toes with a mix of melodic ambient and dark IDM breakcore beats; incorporating light-witted sampling, drum ‘n’ bass loops and rhythms, and noisy portions. Beginning in the ambient vein, the album moves into more upbeat tracks that have me hopping/grooving around my office, looking bizarre most likely.Needless to say, with my fondness for wearing large platform boots, breakcore can be challenging to dance to, since platform boots don't really allow one to quickly move one's feet around in response to the quick beats. But I still like it dammit! And am determined to find a non-ridiculous looking way to dance to it, while wearing my boots.

Recommended to fans of Venetian Snares, Beefcake, Cdatakill, Squarepusher and Aphex Twin material, etc.
