I, Parasite - On This Cold Floor

You want to take all the glasses, throw them at the wall and watch the shattering glass fall in a million pieces around you. And take the shards of glass and run them down your arms and watch the blood trickle out and drop to the puddle on the floor… pain. You feel pain. And so does I, Parasite.

A fan of I, Parasite, I was highly anticipating On This Cold Floor. Although I’ve wavered in my opinion of the new album, I think have finally decided that I like it.The melancholy we have come to expect from I, Parasite is definitely present here. The out and out angst is what attracts me the most, providing I am in the mood to listen to an angsty album. Dark, dismal, brooding, slow sounds, matched with lyrics of sorrow and hate. Life is painful, and this is music to match it.

While I think some tracks have taken a bit more of a rock influence than previous albums, you will find no pounding dance floor tracks. Moody music. Sit back, relax and let I, Parasite take you down the road of hurt, with some good music along the way.
